Japanese gosho-ningyo (palace doll) imitating a samurai warrior, depicted seated in full military regalia with lacquered paper armor, metal fittings featuring richly formed dragons, large helmet with chirimen panels and an oversized dragon maedate prow, painted “gloved” hands with dragonfly pattern, holding fan and spear, classic round gosho-style face covered in gofun with painted features and silk fiber hair, minor fading, losses to fur boots.
