Japanese mitsuore (triple-jointed) gosho-ningyo (palace doll) fashioned of wood and covered in a fine white gofun with painted details and silk fiber hair secured with gold-wrapped thread cords, painted hair detail at nape of neck with painted red ribbon, depicting a young boy with articulated hip, knee and ankle joints allowing it to sit, kneel, or stand, dressed in a deep blue chirimen silk crepe kimono with embroidered designs of snow covered bamboo, and cranes, with a red obi tie belt and mamoribako (charm bag), inner kimono of chirimen with purple chirimen cuffs and lapel, fan (replaced) gosho-style flat joints, minor fading, minor discoloration to gofun on face, minor crack to right cheek.
