Unusual Large Japanese Harukoma Gosho with mizuhiki presentation ribbon, depicted in seated position with right leg forward, carved of solid Paulownia (kiri) wood, covered overall in a fine gofun, front haragake bib of chirimen silk crepe with metallic thread embroidery and yuzen-dyed green silk crepe overcoat with supplementary satin stitch and gold-wrapped thread embroidery, well carved features with painted details, arms raised with hands closed in a grasping position, with side locks of real hair, painted hair detail at the nape, painted hair at top of forehead secured with a red painted presentation ribbon (mizuhiki) holding a harukoma hobby horse (replaced) Minor darkening on top of head, minor fading to textiles, minor surface cracks.
