Seated Gosho-ningyo With Fan

Japanese Gosho Ningyo depicting a seated boy fashioned of wood and covered in a fine gofun, clothed in a vibrant, finely embroidered and  chinrimen silk crepe haragake bib with flower design under an unusual blue plaid chirimen outer kimono with a white silk inner kimono, interior with rare identifying lable written in sumi ink on paper, strikingly unusual face rendered exceptionally full with well formed and painted features, silk fiber hair, sexed figure with unusual amount of detail, positioned with both legs forward, left arm raised slight to the side, minor cracking, loss of gofun on left arm, overall fine condition.
