Japanese Takeda-ningyo depicting a hatamoto bannerman, small-scale figure but executed with excellent materials, depicting a standing warrior with right foot on a stump and left leg thrust forward, double outer kimono, one in green silk brocade, the other in black velvet with gold embroidery, both thrown back to reveal inner chirimen silk crepe kimono with sleeves bearing the aoi hollyhock design, at his back a banner of silk with black velvet accents, pole capped with gourd emblem, two swords at hip, head of wood covered in gofun with painted features, minor signs of wear, losses to hair, overall fine condition
