Japanese Takeda-ningyo holding a military standard capped by the Kuyo (Nine Stars) design, unidentified samurai warrior, left foot on a multicolored rock with his right foot thrust forward, wearing a sleeveless silk brocade outer vest, inner kimono with silk crepe sleeves bearing an embroidered dragon design, black velvet accents with butterfly-shaped metal appliqués, silk crepe armor with metal fittings and silk brocade accents, head of wood covered in gofun with painted details, silk fiber hair, holding an arrow in his right hand, mounted on a black lacquer base with front aperture cloth and additional bottom with inscription reading: “Taisho” (wise general).
