Takeda-ningyo of Minamoto Yoshiie (1041-1108) at Hakkeizaka (Eight View Slope) and the Armor Hanging Pine, in a dramatic pose with right foot thrust forward, the great archer shown clutching two arrows in his right hand and his bow raised in his left, the sleeves of his outer kimono thrown back to reveal chirimen silk crepe sleeves embroidered with a large butterfly, face of wood covered in gofun with painted details, silk fiber hair, lacquered paper eboshi cap, black velvet details with butterfly metal appliqué, pine tree back drop, suspended papier-mâché suit of armor, as a reference to Yoshiie who is said to have suspended his armor from a pine tree on his way north to subdue the Abe clan, fading, losses to pine tree.
