Japanese Takeda-ningyo depicting a Zuijin Minister, dramatically position with right foot thrust forward, well executed head of wood covered in a fine white gofun with formed hair and topknot, wearing yusoku court trousers in white and gold silk brocade, a green silk brocade vest with dragon and cloud motif, chirimen silk under kimono with embroidered sleeves bearing chintamani sacred jewel motif, clutching a pair of arrows in his right hand and holding a bow by the string in his left hand, arrow quiver at back, mounted on a black lacquer base with front aperture cloth, minor fading, signs of wear, base missing left end cap, overall fine condition.
