Japanese Mitsuore (triple-jointed) doll by Yamakawa Keijiro (Eitokusai II, 1858-1928), depicting a young girl stylishly dressed in the Taisho Era style, with a figured purple silk outer cloak, over a silk kimono with a rich floral design, a red under kimono, body of wood with articulated hip, knees and ankles, head of wood covered in a lightly pigmented gofun with an open mouth expression showing teeth and tongue, well formed hands with individuated fingers tsumekiri fingernail details, inset glass eyes, with silk fiber hair arranged long in the back with a single additional braid with a pink bow at back, white tabi socks, minor signs of wear, overall fine condition. 14-1/2” High
