Japanese Ichimatsu Boy attributed to Noguchi Meiho (1892-1978), elegantly attired in a refined green silk haori outer jacket with Buddhist wheel and lotus leaf  kamon family crest repeated five times on the yoke, elbows, and shoulders, with a light blue repeated wave and fan motif on the sleeves, silk front tie closure, silk brocade obi tie belt over a matching green inner kimono, white tabi socks, delicately formed face of toso covered in a lightly pigmented gofun with painted details, inset glass eyes, traces of eyelashes, painted hair, finely formed hands lightly flexed, with middle two fingers curving slightly inward, tsumekiri carved fingernail details, dimpled knuckles, minor wear and abrasions, fading, overall fine condition, 17-1/4”
