Japanese Ichimatsu Boy attributed to Noguchi Meiho (1892-1978), richly attired in a purple silk haori outer jacket with finely embroidered designs of auspicious object on the hem, silk front tie closure, silk brocade obi tie belt over a matching purple inner kimono, white tabi socks, delicately formed face of toso covered in a lightly pigmented gofun with painted details, inset glass eyes, traces of eyelashes, painted hair, finely formed hands lightly flexed, with middle two fingers curving slightly inward, tsumekiri carved fingernail details, dimpled knuckles, minor wear and abrasions, overall fine condition, 17-3/4”
